At ZetaHub, we help you set up and use business rules (or global filters) to filter your content so that your users get only what’s most relevant to them.
The difference between metafilters and Business Rules is that Business Rules are executed at a higher level from metafilters. Content does not reach the metafilters until they have passed through the Business rules that you decide on.
For publishers, as a business rule, you could choose to only show content that was created in the past 24 hours as a priority (exclude content older than 24 hours.)
This means, your metafilters will now receive only content that is less than 24 hours old – that can then be further filtered down to increase relevance to your audience.
For eCommerce companies, with business rules you could for example, exclude certain offers or discounts from being displayed to customers who are new to your website, to increase LTV for your older customers.
You could also choose to include or exclude content around particular keywords that you want to exclude globally from your content.
