Overview
We just launched the ability to A/B test email campaigns, directly from the ZetaHub Campaign Creator. Two different versions of a campaign can be tested; these can have different subject lines, content or even entirely different designs. The performance can be gauged based on total clicks or total opens.
Benefits for Marketers
You will now be able to run campaigns on all the email communication you send, and get more clarity on what kind of messages your audience likes. You can use this for newsletters, updating your customers on your daily discounts and offers and more. For broadcast campaigns, you can select a percentage of your audience to send the variation to. The platform automatically selects the winning version and sends this off to the rest. The end result: higher user engagement.
Configuring an A/B Test
From the Campaigns section, you can select Triggered or Broadcast:
Select the metric you wish to maximize, Clicks or Opens. For Broadcast messages specifically, you have the option of setting a duration and test audience. The winning campaign (A or B) will automatically get sent to the remainder of your audience.
Currently, using the Variation Window only applies to One Time, ‘send now’ campaigns – you can’t choose this option for recurring campaigns.
Once you have run your test, to visualize the results go to the campaign view in the Campaigns section:
